The Lighthouse had a big reason to celebrate this summer with the grand opening of the Inland Northwest Lighthouse for the Blind (INL). Over 250 employees and community members joined our grand opening held on September 18, 2008. National Industries for the Blind President and CEO Kevin Lynch presented Lighthouse President Kirk Adams with a $40,000 grant to create employment opportunities for blind and visually impaired individuals in the Eastern Washington area. A ribbon- cutting ceremony welcomed guests into the brand new facility.

Guests, employees, and family members enjoyed a barbecue, ice cream, and live music courtesy of INL employee Kurt Lantz and his band The Ravins.
